Mongolian Morin Khuur /Horse Head Fiddle/ Ensemble first-ever performed its "Beautiful Mongolia" concert at the Sydney Opera House on 14 September 2023. Her Excellency Battsetseg Batmunkh, Foreign Minister of Mongolia, delivered the opening speech at the concert, followed by the remarks of His Excellency Honourable Benjamin Franklin, President of the Parliament of New South Wales and Mr. Gary Cowen, First Assistant Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia. There were over 2200 audiences, including Australian Government officials, business representatives, Heads of Diplomatic Mission and Mongolian community.
At the beginning of the concert, Foreign Minister H.E. Battsetseg Batmunkh attended to the reception, organized on the occasion of her officials visit to Australia and Mongolian Morin Khuur Ensemble`s first-ever performance at the Sydney Opera House. There were 200 VIP guests attended at the reception. His Excellency Mr. Davaasuren Damdinsuren, Ambassador of Mongolia to Australia, made the opening speech and raised a toast then Her Excellency the Honourable Governor Margaret Beazlye gave speech and raised a toast. After the speeches "Welcome to Mongolia" video content displayed and horse head fiddle performance performed for the guests. Furthermore, Foreign Minister H.E. Battsetseg Batmunkh and Ambassador H.E. Davaasuren Damdinsuren presented Mongolian State and Ministerial awards for some representatives of Mongolian diaspora residing in Australia.
