`WORK AND HOLIDAY` VISA FOR NATIONALS OF AUSTRALIA

In the spirit of strengthening ties between Mongolia and Australia and promoting improved mutual understanding amongst young people, the Governments of two country have signed the Memorandum of Understanding in relation to granting mutually up to one hundred (100) multiple entry `Work and Holiday` visas or authorisation for temporary stay for a period of twelve (12) calendar months to nationals of participant states.
Australian citizens must satisfy below requirements in order to apply for a `Work and Holiday visa` to travel to Mongolia:
- Intend primarily to holiday in the territory of Mongolia for a period of up to twelve (12) calendar months;
- Are at least eighteen (18) years of age but have not turned thirty one (31) at the time of application for a visa;
- Will not be accompanied by dependent children;
- Hold a valid Australian passport and an onward travel ticket or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket;
- Possess sufficient funds for personal support for the purposes of a Work and Holiday in the territory of Mongolia;
- Meet health and character requirements as specified by the Mongolian`s laws;
- Have not previously taken part in the Mongolian`s `Work and Holiday` or `Working Holiday` program;
- Nationals of Australia, hold tertiary qualifications, or successfully completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate university study;
- Provide a letter from the relevant government ministry of Australia which includes a statement to the effect that Australian Government has consented to their stay in the territory of Mongolia under the terms of this agreement.
